Karelia Asset Release Check: test a Blender asset package before you ship it
A texture can work on your computer and still be missing from the package your customer receives. Karelia Asset Release Check stages a separate copy of a saved .blend file or package folder and tests that package boundary: files elsewhere on your computer don't count as included.
Version 0.1.0, tested on Windows with Blender 4.5.14 LTS and 5.2.2 LTS.

What Karelia Asset Release Check does
One file or a folder
Check a self-contained .blend, or a package folder of files delivered together.
Fresh Blender processes
Each staged file opens in a factory-startup background process with automatic scripts turned off.
Every dependency
Finds missing or out-of-package images, fonts, linked libraries and other external files, unreadable textures and missing linked data-blocks.
Asset metadata
Records marked asset names, types, descriptions, authors, tags and catalog IDs.
Clean append
Appends supported objects, collections and materials into an empty file, with a bounded structural check of plain meshes.
Clear verdicts
FAIL, REVIEW, PASS WITH NOTES or PASS, in an HTML report with detailed JSON evidence and verified source-file hashes.
Read-only
Every run uses a separate staged copy. The add-on never saves or repairs your source files.
Pricing
One-time purchase on Blendkit.
Good to know
- PASS means the supported checks completed. It is not a guarantee of how the asset looks or behaves in every customer scene.
- Animation, rigs, Geometry Nodes, simulations, scripts, other add-ons and full sequence, UDIM or cache playback need manual testing. Materials are appended, not render-tested.
- Mesh evaluation covers plain, unparented, unanimated meshes without modifiers, up to 250,000 vertices. Symlinks and junctions inside a package are rejected.
- Fresh processes are not a security sandbox: use trusted source files. Other operating systems and Blender releases between the tested ones have not been tested.
FAQ
Why not just open the file and look?
Because a file that opens fine on your computer can still point to textures outside the package. The check only counts what is inside the package you plan to ship.
Does it fix the problems it finds?
No. It reports them, and you fix them in your normal workflow and check again. Your source files are never changed.
Does anything leave my computer?
No. Processing is local and there is no telemetry. Reports can contain local paths, so review them before sharing.
Is it affiliated with Blender or Blendkit?
No. It is an independent add-on by Karelia Labs, sold on Blendkit.
