Karelia RotateGuard for Odoo: stock rotation returns, from allowance to credit

Many distribution agreements let you return a percentage of what you bought. Karelia RotateGuard turns that percentage into a controlled return in Odoo, from the purchase basis and eligible lots to the shipment and the posted credit. It is built for electronics and component distributors with a written stock-rotation allowance.

What Karelia RotateGuard does

Know the allowance

Set the earning period, claim window, percentage and product scope, and build the allowance from posted vendor bills and credits before you use it.

Only eligible stock

Work from purchase receipts and tracked lots, with product exclusions, receipt age and saleable condition checked before you ask the supplier.

Authorization to return

Record the supplier reference and send-by deadline, and link the original receipt to the completed return.

Credit per return

Allocate posted supplier credits to the physical return. Draft credits don't count as recovered, and an uncredited return stays visible.

Good to know

  • It supports percentage-of-purchases terms in one currency, with an explicit earning period and claim window.
  • Lots must have a single origin, be unreserved and still be at their original receipt location. Mixed-origin or moved stock, other currencies, tiered allowances and automatic replacement orders are outside this release.
  • Odoo Online can't install custom Python add-ons, so it needs Odoo.sh or your own server.

FAQ

Is stock rotation the same as a normal supplier RMA?

No. It adds the agreed purchase-based allowance and its claim window to a controlled supplier return.

Does it decide whether the supplier must accept a return?

No. Your written terms, the stock condition and the supplier's authorization decide. The app records and checks the supported conditions.

Does a completed return count as a received credit?

No. The physical return and the posted supplier credit are separate, and an uncredited return stays visible.
