How to offer product samples with credit toward the full-size item in Wix Stores

Why samples with credit

Samples lower the risk of a first purchase: flooring, fabric, paint, tea, cosmetics. But if the sample cost is simply lost, fewer people take the next step. Crediting the sample toward the full-size product turns it into a down payment.

Set it up

1. Add Karelia Sample Credit from the Wix App Market. It works with Wix Stores.
2. Link the sample product to the matching full-size product. A sample button appears on the product page.
3. Choose the credit percentage, how many units a code covers and how long it is valid.

What the buyer gets

After a qualifying paid sample order, the buyer gets a one-use code that only works on the matching full-size product. The private dashboard shows source orders, credits and redemptions, and lets you retry credit processing.

After a cancelled or refunded sample order, the credit is put up for revocation review.
